Kerry Coventry was born in Glasgow and raised in the Rosses area of Donegal. She has a particular interest in songs from the Northern tradition. Singing from a young age Kerry has a Degree in Classical Vocal Performance and has worked as a vocal trainer for many years. She currently holds directorship of two choirs.

As well as singing Kerry plays a number of instruments, but she is best known for her use of an Appalachian autoharp which has seen her perform internationally, most notably as a featured artist at the California Autoharp Gathering.
