Iarla Ó Muirthile will be giving a workshop focusing on macaronic songs from the Munster tradition. Macaronic songs are particularly common in the south of the country and come from a time when both languages existed side by side to varying degrees. There is a wide range of songs in this style, offering insight into the changing dynamics of their time.
